Oriane PONS, Soprano
Born in 1986 in Nice, France, Oriane first learnt the piano. The Music Academy of Monaco awarded her a First Prize for Lyrical Singing in 2008, and allowed her to join several Masterclasses, particularly with Gabriel Bacquier. In 2009 and 2010, after winning two prizes at the International Operetta Contest in Marseilles, she is Mallika, in L.Delibe's Lakmé, then Micaëla in G.Bizet's Carmen at the Théâtre des Variétés in Monaco. The Friends of the Monaco Opera allocate her a grant, and she ends up singing for Prince Rainier of Monaco.
For the 2011 to 2013 seasons, Oriane is a resident artist at the Swiss Opera Studio. She plays at the Bern Casino with an orchestra led by Sir Thomas-Green then she plays Agathe in a Graffiti version for young audiences of Weber's Freischütz at the Theater of Bienne-Soleure. She plays Pauline in La Vie Parisienne from J.Offenbach in 2012 at the Odeon Theater of Marseille. Also passionate about Sacred Music, she sings the soprano part in A.Dvorak's Stabat Mater and WA.Mozart's Crowning Mass during the International Festival of Sacred Music in Antibes, as well as the soprano solo in Brahms' Requiem in Switzerland.
In 2013, she creates a staged accordion version of G.Pergolesi's Stabat Mater that will be played multiple times in Switzerland and in France. She plays Paoluccia in N.Piccini's La Cecchina and the title-role in Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera at the Bienne-Soleure Theater, in Switzerland. Oriane successfully completes her cycle at the Swiss Opera Studio, where she is awarded a Master Specialized Performance Oper, with the Jury's congratulations.
In 2014-2015, she sings under Chef François-Xavier Roth's direction in Bern and plays Julia, first female role in E.Künneke's operetta Der Vetter aus Dingsda, as well as Pamina and Papagena in two versions of Mozart's Zauberflöte at the Stadttheater in Bern. She regularly sings as a soloist at masses. In 2015, she is Artemis, in a creation for youngsters, Agôn, from C.Althaus, at the Nice Opera, and also Pamina at the Winterthur Opera in Switzerland.
